Introducing Family Zone for Cyber Safety

College families will now have peace of mind that their children are safe while browsing online with the introduction of Family Zone, a new cyber safety tool that protects students online at both home and school.

From the start of Term 1 2019, Coomera Anglican College will be one of the first schools on the Gold Coast to take a whole of College approach to online safety, making Family Zone available to all families from Prep to Year 12 as part of your College fees.

Family Zone will not only be available on College supplied devices as part of our eMind programme, but will also allow families to provide protection on devices at home and personal devices when students are out and about.

What makes Family Zone different?

Parental Controls
Parents will have the power to remove inappropriate content for safe searching, restrict social media and in app purchasing, block apps, disable camera features and manage screen time including device sleep times.

Every Device, Everywhere
The ability to keep students safe regardless of the device they are using or the source of internet they are connected to is one of the main differences that Family Zone offers.

Free Cyber Support
The program is supported by a team of cyber experts. Parents will have access to specialist advice on the latest apps and trends and answers to all your online safety questions at your fingertips.
