World Scholars’ Cup Global Rounds | Da Nang, Vietnam

Our World Scholars’ Cup team has returned from an outstanding week in Da Nang, competing alongside 1,000 students from 16 countries in one of the world's premier academic competitions.

The College's nine students collectively earned 31 medals and major awards across debating, writing, Scholar’s Bowl, and Challenge Subjects. We were also proud to see Felix W. selected as a flag bearer for Australia and Arysha A. selected as a flag bearer for Bangladesh during the event's opening celebrations.

Livia H. (Year 10) – 5 medals, including Gold in Individual Writing (21st place) and Gold in Individual Debate (28th place)

Arysha A. (Year 9) – 4 medals, including Gold in Team Debate and Gold in History, and Bangladesh flag bearer

Liam L. (Year 9) – 4 medals, including Gold in Team Debate and medals in two Challenge Subject categories

Kleopatra C. (Year 9) – Silver medal in Individual Debate

Mia L. (Year 7) – 5 medals, including Gold in Individual Debate

Theodore S. (Year 7) – 4 medals

Oliver W. (Year 7) – 3 medals

Felix W. (Year 7) – Silver medal in Individual Debate and Australian flag bearer

Violet S. (Year 7) – 3rd Place Gold Asimov Award, recognising her as one of the top writers in her division

Beyond the results, our students represented the College with distinction. Their curiosity, teamwork, resilience, and willingness to challenge themselves stood out throughout the competition, and we could not be prouder of all they achieved on the international stage.
