Annie (2015) | Coomera Anglican College

It is 1937 in an ever-changing New York City and orphan Annie lives the "hard-knock life" with her fellow orphans, enduring hard labour, eating cold mush for dinner and worst of all, putting up with the wrath of the nasty Miss Hannigan, the orphanage manager. We watch as Annie struggles to find her real parents, with her only proof of their existence being a locket around her neck. Despite the hardship that life has thrown her way, Annie is the eternal optimist and as luck would have it, she is given the opportunity of a life time - to spend a week in "the lap of luxury" with billionaire businessman, Mr Oliver Warbucks. This unlikely pair make a special connection that takes them both by surprise. Annie is the much-loved family classic that reminds us all that no matter what ... "The sun will come out tomorrow"

A magical performance .... one to remember and keep in our hearts.

A cast of over 70 students, a talented orchestra, backstage helpers, tech crew and a passionate team of staff were behind this fabulous production of Annie in May 2015.
