2018 BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Battle of the Bands delivered some incredible performances this year. It was fantastic to see the level of musical performances of many of the students and to have so many schools come together and enjoy each other’s company and love of music.

2018 Battle of the Bands winners:

1st Place – Exit 24 (John Paul College)

2nd Place – Top Deck (Marymount College)

3rd Place – The Test Subjects (Hillcrest Christian College)

Best Original Performance – Exit 24 (John Paul College) – “Can’t Go On”

Crowd Favourite – Exit 24 (John Paul College)

Best Vocalist – Amber Arnold (Hillcrest Christian College)

Best Instrumentalist – Rory Fleming (John Paul College)

Best Performer – Gabriela Pegler (Marymount College)

Thank you to the students and teachers for putting such fantastic bands together. Thanks also to the Judges – Mark Watson from Studio Proof; Amira Talbot of ‘Chasing Velvet’; and the legendary Louie Sheldon. As well as Adam de Vries for MCing the night on stage.

We also acknowledge event partners – TAFE Qld Gold Coast, and event supporters, including Blank GC, Nightquarter, Relay For Life, Music Express, Studio Proof, Gold Coast Trophies & Engraving. In addition, to the staff and volunteers at Coomera Anglican College, including the incredible PAFA team, who work on making the event a great success; as well as the TAFE students and staff who ensure a professional performance opportunity on the night.
