Coomera Food & Wine Frolic
proudly sponsored by
Every year, Coomera Anglican College hosts the Coomera Food & Wine Frolic - an event not just for College families but the entire community and we extend a hearty invitation to the local community to join us for the next wonderful family day out and this year was no exception.
Starting out frosty and clear the day turned warm sunny - the perfect background for a great day out!
There was lots of great food - especially prepared by our College community ... great wine .. and lots of entertainment for young and old. Music was provided by the Brisbane Conservatory of Music's "Con Artists", the Gold Coast Youth Jazz Band and Papasa - African Dance and Drumming Group with special guest appearances by College students:
- CAC Jazz Combo
- CAC String Quartet
- CAC bands: Caution, Applecore and an accoustic band
- Jane Kirkpatrick
- and students from the CAC Dance School, coached by Leanne Spence
There were rides, sideshow alley stalls, an obstacle course put together by Combat Kids and much more.
Special thanks to the following people who helped make it all happen:
- Megan Jeffs - for organising the food so well
- Elissa and Bruce Hutton form Zarraffa’s Coffee for donating all the proceeds from their coffee sales on the day
- Nadine Fairweather and Caroliine Winter - for organising the sideshow alley stalls
- All the Primary Coodinators and helpers who worked hard on the sideshow alley
- Members of the PAFA committee who assisted greatly in putting the day together
- All the volunteers who gave up their time to help set up, pack up and otherwise work hard on the day!
- Students and staff of the Secondary campus who worked hard at serving food and much more.
This project was proudly funded by the Queensland Government's Gambling Community Benefit Fund in partnership with the Ingles Group, End2End Financial Planners, Coomera Springs Estate, O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyard and Alexander Properties Pty Ltd.
